1918 was the last year that Earl Hurd directed a Bobby Bumps *******, even though Bray continued producing them until 1925. Hurd's principal contribution to animation lay in the ownership of cel techniques, which he and Bray shared the patent on and for which they received payments from every animation studio until 1932.
