全片很平淡但是很温情，一个被周围人尊重的管家get到了他的人生价值，结尾非常**。五十年代末的丹麦，可怜的垃圾场助理哈利继承了一笔钱。他决定用这笔钱雇一个管家。起初，管家对这份工作不太感兴趣，但他找不到更好的接受了这份工作。一开始，他们俩都不知道对方有什么习惯。起初，邻居们拿哈利和他的管家开玩笑，但最后，邻居们都因为管家的影响变得更好。懂事的小男孩没有花管家给他买东西的钱，去垃圾场捡了一个。管家最终决定留下来，邻居们虽然没有钱但是他们快乐的氛围影响了管家，没钱但是也可以过讲究的生活，管家帮忙大家生活过得更好。意大利面和*花籽做的美丽项链就像他们的生活，不富有仍然活得精彩。人与人之间的关系不止是钱，对吗？
